ALAPPUZHA: It has been hinted that four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of OBC morcha state secretary Renjith Sreenivasan. They were taken into custody last night and are suspected to be SDPI activists. However, the police have not given any official confirmation in this regard.

The arrested were not directly involved in the murder but the police suspect them to have direct links with the killers. The police are also examining the bike found in a suspicious manner. There are indications that there are blood stains in the bike. It was clear from the CCTV that the killer group came in six bikes. It is being examined whether it is any of these bikes.

Meantime, the prohibitory orders imposed in Alappuzha has been extended till tomorrow morning. The district police chief had reported that there is a possibility to unleash violence in the district. Following that, the prohibitory orders were extended.
