PATHANAMTHITTA: Six sustained injuries in a blast at a teashop in Anikad. The palm of one has severed. Initial conclusion is that the explosive stored to burst the rock exploded.

The glasses of some shelves and soda bottles broke. Six were injured when the shards hit their bodies. Two of the injured are said to be in a critical condition. The injured were admitted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital. The police have reached the spot. There are quarries in the nearby areas.
