THRISSUR: A body of a new born was found abandoned in a canal in Thrissur. The body was wrapped in a cover and abandoned in the canal on the MLA road.

The initial conclusion is that the body is more than three days old. The body was first spotted by those who came to offer bali at Shanthighat. They then informed the police. It is not clear whether the baby is a boy or a girl.

The body has been shifted to Thrissur Medical College Hospital. A probe has been intensified by the Thrissur West Police.
