KASARGOD: Rajmohan Unnithan came down heavily on Shashi Tharoor. Even if it is a gold-bearing tree, it should be felled if it leans on to the roof. If Tharoor does not change his stand, the crisis he is going to face would be serious, said Unnithan.

‘Everyone agrees that Tharoor is a universal citizen. It was not Pinarayi Vijayan but the Congress party who gave him a seat to contest in the Parliament. The congress activists and the UDF helped him to win the polls. Any Member of Parliament will sign only after reading things that come before him. I too did the same. Will anyone believe if he says that he had not read it. Tharoor disagreed to sign. Can wake up a person sleeping but anyone who pretends to sleep cannot be woken up. This will lead to a serious crisis. If Tharoor is made candidate in the next parliament elections, no congressman or the UDF will work for him,’ said Unnithan.
