KATTAPPANA: Three youths from Kerala drowned in a lake in Telangana while trying to rescue a child who fell into the lake. The deceased have been identified as Idukki native Vivek(22), Cherthala native Abhay Santhosh and Sonu, the father of the child. The incident took place in Khammam district on Sunday. The bodies were recovered only on Tuesday.

Vivek and Abhay were therapists at an Ayurveda company in Bangalore. They had come to visit the lake. The three jumped into the lake after Sonu's child fell into the lake. Though the child was rescued by the locals, Vivek, Abha and Sonu drowned. The NDRF team recovered the three bodies yesterday.
