ALAPPUZHA: More are likely to be arrested on Wednesday in connection with the murders of BJP and SDPI leaders. Police intensified an extensive search last night for the killer gangs. A search was carried out at the homes of RSS and SDPI activists.

The five arrested in the murder case of BJP leader Renjith, will be produced in the court today. Nishad, Asif, Sudheer, Harshad and Ali from Mannancherry in Alappuzha were arrested yesterday. All are SDPI activists. Renjith was murdered last Sunday morning. The assailants barged into his house and hacked him to death.

The police will today get into custody two RSS activists remanded in the murder of SDPI leader Shan. Shan was killed last Saturday night. The accused told police that Shan was hacked to death in retaliation for the killing of RSS activist Nandu.
