KANNUR: A man murdered his wife using a knife at Peringathur. The victim has been identified as Rethi (57) of Peringathur near Vishnuvilasam U P School. Her husband Mohanan slit her neck using the knife.

Mohanan had a tea stall in Coimbatore earlier. The murder was committed at their house. The couple had some financial problems. They have two children. The incident happened when the son went for work. The exact reasons for the murder are not clear.
