THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 3205 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 3036 persons developed the disease through contact, including 141 cases without an identified source of infection. 10 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 18 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

3012 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 27,842 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 36 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 45,538.

Thiruvananthapuram 645, Ernakulam 575, Kozhikode 313, Kottayam 253, Kollam 224, Thrissur 194, Pathanamthitta 186, Malappuram 181, Kannur 157, Alappuzha 136, Idukki 120, Wayanad 87, Palakkad 77 and Kasaragod 57.
