THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI leader Pannyan Raveendran has slammed the Kerala police in connection with the political murders that took place in the state. "The police should take strict action to prevent religious and communal organisations from turning Kerala into a riot ground," he said while attending an event organised by the AIYF.

"Police have been preparing the lists of accused based on the lists provided by the parties. This is not the right way as it will give the criminals a chance to escape. Such a situation should change. The murders that took place in the name of politics in the state are part of a covert effort by the majority-minority communal movements to tarnish the Left government in Kerala," Pannyan Raveendran said.
