KOCHI: Congress leader P T Thomas MLA, who died the other day, will be cremated at Ravipuram Crematorium in Kochi at 5.30 pm on Thursday. Religious functions will be avoided. The body brought to Idukki early this morning at 2.45 am was placed for public homage at his house in Upputhodu. Thousands turned to pay their respects.

Idukki Bishop Mar John Nellikunnel and Pala Bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangad reached his house and paid homage. The body is now kept at the Rajiv Bhavan in Thodupuzha for the people to pay tributes.

The body will be brought to Palarivattom after that. It was informed earlier that that body would reach Palarivattom at 6.30 am. The body will be first kept at the Ernakulam DCC office and then to the Town Hall. Leaders including Rahul Gandhi MP will pay their last respects.

Thomas died while undergoing treatment for cancer at the Velloor Hospital yesterday morning at 10.30 am.
