KANNUR: KPCC chief K Sudhakaran came to the fore with a strong warning to Shashi Tharoor MP, who spoke publicly against the party's stance on the K rail issue. He warned Tharoor that he will have to leave if he does not abide by the party’s decision and that the party has a tough stand on the issue. Sudhakaran said Tharoor is just an MP of the Congress and has sought an explanation from him.
‘All MPs should approve if the party takes a decision. I am not of the opinion that Tharoor has any other agenda or has alienated from the party. The party has never avoided P T Thomas. The Idukki seat was not given due to the low chances of victory. None of the political parties can move forward without considering community organizations,’ he said.
Meantime, Congress leader Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said that he hoped Tharoor would stand by the party's stance on K Rail.
Tharoor not signing the memorandum sent to union railway minister against Silverline claiming that he wanted to study the issue first before joining hands with other UDF MPs, had courted controversy.
