THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Director Renjith will be the new chairman of Chalachitra Academy. He will be replacing director Kamal. The new chairman was chosen as Kamal has completed his tenure.

The LDF had considered Renjith for Kozhikode North seat in the assembly elections. He withdrew from the fray after it led to controversies.

M G Sreekumar will be Sangetha Nataka Academy chairman as KPAC Lalitha’s tenure ends. As the CPM state secretariat have approved the appointments, the order will be issued soon. The two will be serving under the government for the first time.
