ALAPPUZHA: The police have not been able to trace the main culprits in the murder of BJP leader Renjith Sreenivasan. Five people who helped the accused in the case have been arrested so far. The police could not apprehend those directly involved in the murder.

The police had earlier said that they had identified all the accused. However, it is not clear where they are. The police have intensified searches in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Meantime, 14 people have been arrested so far in the murder of SDPI leader Shan. The probe team concluded that Shan was killed in retaliation for the murder of RSS activist Nandu.
