KOTTAYAM: The police Monday filed the charge sheet in the murder case of 22-year-old girl Nithinamol, a student of St Thomas College. She was killed by her classmate by slitting her throat on the college campus in Pala. The charge sheet was filed at Pala Judicial First Class Magistrate Court. The charge sheet was filed on the 84th day of the incident.

Nithinamol was from Thalayolaparambu near Vaikkom in Kottayam. Abhishek Baiju (20) Koothattukulam is the accused in the case. The charge sheet mentioned that he repeatedly watched a murder in the name of love in Chennai on the internet.

Suspicion of Nithinamol’s intimacy towards her former friend is the cause of the murder. He committed the crime after a week’s planning. The investigation team recorded the statements of more than 100 people.

Nithinamol was killed on October 1 at 11.20 am. Nithina, a food processing technology student, was murdered by slitting her throat using a pen knife, while she was returning after exams.
