THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has reiterated that he will not continue as Chancellor of state-run universities. Speaking to the media, the governor said that he will not assume the position of Chancellor and that he has instructed Raj Bhavan officials not to handle matters related to universities.
"I had to do things that were unethical and against the law. However, I cannot continue to do those mistakes," the governor said. He also said that he had not violated his oath.
Lashing out at the state government over the reappointment of Kannur University Vice-Chancellor, governor Arif Mohammad Khan had said that he wanted to quit as the Chancellor. He also alleged that he was under pressure from the government on the VC's reappointment.
