KOCHI: The prosecution has approached the high court with a complaint that the trial court is not allowing it to cross-examine some key witnesses in the actress attack case. The trial court is not recording the main arguments in the case, the special prosecutor said in his petition to the high court.
The prosecution's plea states that the CDR-based conclusive evidence became irrelevant after the trial court rejected the prosecution's request to ask for the original versions of phone records of the accused. This is the second time the prosecution has approached the high court with a complaint against the trial court's actions. The main reason for the resignation of the former special prosecutor was also due to the proceedings of the trial court. The vacation bench of the high court will hear the petition filed by the prosecution tomorrow.
