KOCHI: A youth was found charred to death inside the EVM theatre in Perumbavoor. The deceased has been identified as Tamil Nadu Tiruvannamalai native Manikandan (29). The incident took place around 7.30 am today.

The preliminary conclusion is that Manikandan committed suicide by setting himself on fire after pouring petrol. Police have found petrol, a plastic vessel and a lighter near the body. Manikandan was an employee of EVM theatre for eight years.
