MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court today will hear a case filed by a Bihar native seeking release of DNA results of Binoy Kodiyeri in connection with abuse case. In the application, the woman wants the case not to be extended indefinitely and the truth to come out. The truth will be proved as soon as the result comes out. The court will consider the application filed by the woman on December 3.
The High Court has asked for a DNA test on a petition filed by Binoy Kodiyeri seeking dismissal of a sexual harassment complaint lodged by a Bihar native. The test was done in July 2019. In December 2020 the result was handed over to the court in a sealed envelope. The woman filed the application in the court to know the result.
On June 13, 2019, the woman had complained that Binoy Kodiyeri had abused her after promising marriage and that she has an eight-year-old child in the relationship. The woman, who is a dancer at a dance bar, demanded alimony for herself and her child.
