THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had said that Congress did not have the vigour to fight against the SilverLine project. Responding to this, KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Thursday said that Kodiyeri said this as he was ignorant about Congress.

"Kodiyeri is making such statements because of his blind faith in the police. We would like to welcome him if he intends to put the CM on the defensive by fuelling Congress' struggle against the SilverLine project. No anti-people project rejected by Congress can be implemented in Kerala. Kodiyeri will be forced to swallow his words when public outrage erupts. Kodiyeri should not forget that it was the Congress that played a key role in forcing the LDF government to withdraw the Sprinklr contract, the contract awarded to the American company for deep sea fishing, the amendment of the police law, the appointment of relatives of former ministers KT Jaleel and EP Jayarajan," Sudhakaran said.
