ALUVA: The disruption that happened after a goods train derailed while changing tracks will be removed in the morning, informed railway divisional manager. The train derailed at 10.30 pm last night at Aluva railway station. The accident happened when the track was changing to move towards Aluva Goodshed Yard. The cause of the incident is being investigated, informed railway divisional manager R Mukund.
Following the accident, the railways cancelled four trains. Guruvayur-Thiruvananthapuram Express, Kannur Intercity Express, Punalur-Guruvayur and Nilambur-Kottayam Express. The Ernakulam-Pune Express will be delayed by three hours, said the railways. However, traffic through one of the tracks was restored at 2.15 am.
