KOLLAM: Police have arrested a young man who allegedly attacked his wife with a wooden log after she questioned him for remaining at home without going to work. The arrested youth has been identified as Kollam Thazhuthala native Sudheesh (27).

Although Sudheesh's wife used to force him to go to work, he never went for any work. Sources said that the couple used to quarrel over this. On the evening of January 26, the couple quarrelled over the matter and following this, Sudheesh attacked his wife with a wooden log. He even threw away his one-and-a-half-year-old baby out of anger. The baby suffered a head injury.

According to police, Sudheesh got provoked when his wife asked him to go to work and take back the pledged jewellery.
