NEW DELHI: The country reported 2.34 lakh new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. 893 deaths were recorded. Currently, there are 18.84 lakh active cases in the country. The daily test positivity rate (TPR) has increased from 13.39 percent to 14.50 percent.

In the meantime, 75 percent of the country’s adult population have been fully vaccinated, said union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya. The prime minister congratulated all the citizens who got fully vaccinated.

‘‘75% of all adults are fully vaccinated. Congratulations to our fellow citizens for this momentous feat. Proud of all those who are making our vaccination drive a success”, tweeted PM Modi on Sunday.

As of now, 165.70 crore vaccines have been administered in the country. The weekly TPR rate is 16.40 percent. The total death count is 4,94,091. Kerala accounts for about 21.69 percent of total Covid cases reported in the country.
