THIRUVANATHAPURAM: A review meeting will be held Monday evening to assess the Covid situation in the state. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will chair the meeting which will be held at five in the evening. The chief minister, who is in UAE, will take part in the meeting via online.

The meeting will decide on whether to continue lockdown like restrictions on Sundays. Lockdown like restrictions were imposed in the state on last two Sundays. The meeting will also decide on further restrictions and concessions after evaluating the virus spread in the state.

Currently, districts such as Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Idukki and Pathanamthitta are included in the C category. Stringent restrictions have been imposed in C category areas. The demand to allow gyms and theatres to open in these areas will be considered.

Kasaragod remains the only district without any restrictions. The rest of the districts come under B category. More concessions are likely since there is no notable increase in the number of people admitted to the hospitals.
