THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday said that there is a slight decline in the spread of Covid in the state. The CM said at the Covid review meeting that the situation is under control in terms of the number of people being admitted to hospitals and ICUs.
The CM warned that stern action would be taken if those with serious illnesses are denied treatment. This applies to all government and private hospitals in the state. The second dose vaccination in the state is 84 per cent complete and the vaccination for children is 71 percent complete. The Chief Minister directed the Health Department to expedite vaccination. Of the 45,000 applications received for Covid death financial aid, 40,410 were granted. The Chief Minister directed the state's Covid War Room to check the statistics of those admitted to the hospital and ICU and coordinate the necessary steps.
