KOTTAYAM: There is a slight improvement in the health of Vava Suresh who is undergoing treatment at Kottayam Medical College Hospital for a snake bite. Minister VN Vasavan said Vava's heart is functioning normally. However, there is an obstruction in the flow of blood to the brain and therefore the danger is not over, the minister said.
The next five hours are crucial. Vava was bitten by a cobra in Kurichi in Kottayam at around 4 pm today. The snake bit him above the knee. Vava went to the hospital after safely putting the snake inside a sack. He was speaking normally at first but his condition soon deteriorated.
Health Minister Veena George has said that Vava Suresh's treatment will be free. He is currently on a ventilator in medical college. The minister inquired about Vava Suresh's health information from the hospital superintendent. A special team has been assigned to treat Vava.
Vava Suresh had been admitted to the ventilator after being bitten by a snake in 2013 and 2020.
