KOCHI: The Kerala High Court postponed considering the anticipatory bail plea of the accused including actor Dileep in the case of conspiracy to harm the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress, for a short time. The court informed that the remaining arguments will be heard after examining the phones. The court said that he would be eligible for bail only if cooperated with the investigation.
Meantime, the prosecution again demanded that Dileep is needed in custody. The prosecution raised strong arguments against the actor. Uncertainty continues over the phones handed over by Dileep. The prosecution clarified that the accused were not cooperating with the investigation. The DGP also handed over the evidence related to the case in the court. The investigation can be conducted strongly only if the accused is obtained in custody. The DGP informed the court that the actor has not submitted one phone in connection with the case. The actor claimed that he is not aware of this phone. However, Dileep has used this phone till August 31 in 2021. He had made 12,000 calls from this phone and there is proof for it, the DGP said.
Meantime, the trial court has asked to complete the trial in the actress attack case within a month. The court had rejected prosecution’s demand seeking six months more time. The court asked to submit the final report before March 1.
