KOTTAYAM: Minister V N Vasavan said the health condition of Vava Suresh undergoing treatment after a cobra bite, continues to be critical. He said though his blood pressure is stable, no increase in the blood flow to the brain is a cause for concern.
‘He is still on ventilator. Blood pressure is stable. He is still unconscious. When we called yesterday, he responded but that is not seen today. Following that, the medical board convened this morning and started giving new medicines. They are trying to increase the blood flow to the brain. Best eminent doctors available in Kerala are attending him. We have a team of the most talented doctors to attend him,’ he said.
A slight improvement in Vava's health yesterday was a great relief. He shook his head when the doctor called his name. Vava Suresh's sister Lali, brother Sathyadevan and friends are in the hospital.
Vava Suresh was bitten by the cobra while trying to catch it from a house in Kurichi near Changanassery. The seven-foot long snake bit him on his thigh when he was trying to transfer the snake into a sack. He was in a serious condition when taken to the hospital. He was then admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital.
