THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An employee of the Secretariat has been suspended for his defamatory remarks against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Manikuttan A, an office attendant in the Public Administration Department, was suspended.

The action was for a post shared on the WhatsApp group of office attendants in the Secretariat. Manikuttan shared a post in the WhatsApp group criticizing murder politics.
Action was taken against him following the complaints lodged. The order suspending him pending further investigation was issued by principal secretary K R Jyothilal.
