KOCHI: Actor Dileep and others who handed over their phones to the Aluva Magistrate Court in connection with the alleged conspiracy to assassinate the investigating officers in the actress assault case, have opposed the opening of their phones in court.

The defence side said that the phones should not be opened in court and that the purpose of the investigation team is to tamper with the phones. But the court asked what could happen if the phones are opened for five or ten minutes. The court adjourned the case to Thursday morning. A decision will be taken on Thursday regarding sending the phones to Thiruvananthapuram for scientific testing.

The phones of the accused were handed over to the Magistrate Court on the direction of the High Court yesterday. The defence also handed over the lock patterns to unlock the phones. The probe team then approached the magistrate's court asking that the phones be sent for scientific testing.
