DUBAI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who arrived in the UAE on an official visit, was accorded a grand reception at the Expo venue. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed Pinarayi Vijayan. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister of Finance and Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates Airlines Group and President of Dubai Civil Aviation were present.

The Chief Minister thanked the UAE for its support in the development of Kerala. He also requested that steps be taken to make more investments in Kerala, which is preparing for a better business-friendly environment.

State Industries Minister P Rajeev, Indian Ambassador Sanjay Sudhir, Consul General Aman Puri, Lulu Group Chairman and Abu Dhabi Chamber Vice Chairman MA Yusuff Ali were also present.
