KOTTAYAM: Vava Suresh undergoing treatment after a cobra bit him has been shifted from the ventilator. A bulletin was released by Kottayam Medical College Hospital. He will continue in the ICU for 48 hours. The bulletin said he is able to breathe on his own.

He had opened his eyes yesterday but is still unconscious. So, the doctors are doubtful as to when he can be removed from the ventilator. The doctors later decided to shift him from the ventilator this morning at 9 am.

The doctors said there is also a significant improvement in the functioning of his brain. The authorities said Suresh talked to the doctors. His heartbeat and blood pressure are normal. Vava Suresh was bitten by the cobra on Monday at Kurichy in Kottayam. The snake bit him on his thigh.
