THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Muslim League leader and former MLA Younus Kunju died here Thursday. He was 80. He died at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram following heart attack.

He had contracted Covid. He suffered a heart attack shortly after recovering from Covid. Younus Kunju, a native of Kollam, was a member of the legislative assembly from Malappuram during 1991-1996.

He owns many educational institutions including professional colleges. His body will be kept at Younus College in Pallimukku from 10 am. He will be laid to rest at Kollurvila Juma Masjid at 4 pm.
