KOCHI: The Kerala High Court is considering the anticipatory bail pleas of the accused including actor Dileep, in the case of conspiracy to kill the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress. A decision will be taken shortly. The arguments of the accused have started. The court is considering the bail pleas of Dileep, brother Anoop, brother-in-law T N Suraj, cousin Krishna Prasad alias Appu, friends Baiju Chengamanad and hotel owner Sarath from Aluva. A bench led by Justice P Gopinath bench is considering the pleas. The crime branch is firm in their stand of wanting Dileep in custody.

Meantime, the phones handed over by the accused including actor Dileep will not be opened in the magistrate court. The Aluva Magistrate Court ordered to send the sealed box to the Cyber Forensic Lab in Thiruvananthapuram, for examination. The prosecution had earlier demanded that the patterns handed over by Dileep and others be inspected in Aluva itself to know whether it is correct. The court had rejected this demand. Though the accused requested the court not to allow to examine the phones in the presence of the crime branch, the court rejected it.

In the meanwhile, Dileep approached the high court seeking a stay on further investigation in the case of attacking the actress. The plea filed in the court demanded quashing of the report submitted in the trial court by the investigating team. The petition alleged that further investigation was announced without following the procedures. The complaint was received on 28th night and investigation started on 29th morning. Dileep claimed in the plea that this cannot be justified and the trial should be completed soon.
