THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister K N Balagopal reiterated centre’s nod for the Silver Line project. The minister clarified that the approval was obtained in principle in December 2019. Balagopal replied to KPCC chief K Sudhakaran with union finance minister’s letters.

It is not possible to proceed with such a large project without approval in principle. The minister said the response from the parliament was normal. Responsible leaders of the opposition should not mislead anybody, he added.

The centre is yet to give its nod to Silver Line and that the finance minister is misleading the public, criticised Sudhakaran.
