THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPI executive meeting on Friday criticized the party ministers who supported the Lokayukta amendment in the cabinet meeting. The leaders came out against the ministers after criticism was raised at the meeting against the amendment. It is reported that state secretary Kanam Rajendran blamed the ministers for not being vigilant. The ministers explained that they had informed the party centre when they came to know that the matter would be taken up in the cabinet. But the ministers replied that they did not get an exact answer from the party centre and that it was confusing.
K Rail criticism was also raised at the meeting. Raising the issue, Mullakkara Ratnakaran said that the criticism that if the stone is removed, the tooth will also be removed is not correct. He also demanded a change in the attitude of those who oppose the Silver Line project. The meeting finally came to the conclusion that the plan should not be implemented by fighting with the people. The CPI leadership meeting approved the measures against Raveendran Pattayam. The meeting also decided to seek an explanation from Idukki district secretary KK Sivaraman, who questioned the action taken by Raveendran Pattayam
