KOCHI: The prosecution has started hearing on the anticipatory bail pleas of the accused including actor Dileep, in the case of conspiracy to kill the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress. The Director General of Prosecutions told the court that this is an unusual case and that not only the case before the court should be considered now but also the background of the accused. The prosecution alleged that the accused had committed an offense which was not even considered by the legislators.

The accused lawyers raised strong arguments in the court yesterday, including that the murder conspiracy case was the result of a conspiracy hatched by DGP B Sandhya to investigator Baiju Paulose to trap him in the case.

Apart from Dileep, his brother Anoop and brother-in-law T N Suraj, his cousin Appu and friends Baiju Chengamanadu and Sarath have also filed anticipatory bail pleas.
