THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has announced further relaxations in the restrictions imposed in the wake of the spread of Covid. The decision was taken at the Covid review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Classes from one to nine, crèches and kindergartens will start on February 14th. Classes 10, 11, 12, undergraduate and postgraduate classes will resume from February 7. It was also decided to conduct the examinations without interruption. A maximum of 20 can visit worship centres. It also applies to February 6th Sunday. A maximum of 200 people will be allowed in the temple premises for Attukal Pongala. This year too, Pongala should be offered at home.
There is also a change in the classification of districts according to the number of hospital admissions for Covid. Only Kollam is presently in C category. Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Wayanad and Kannur are in the B category. Malappuram and Kozhikode districts are included
