THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is no going back from the Lokayukta ordinance, said the Communist Party of India Marxist (CPM). Things will be explained to convince the Communist Party of India (CPI). The CPM secretariat has also decided to safeguard the decision of the governor.
Strong protests had erupted within the CPI for taking decision on the Lokayukta ordinance, without discussing in the front. It is under this circumstance that the CPM secretariat which convened today, decided to convince the CPI on the matter.
However, the governor’s decision on the matter is crucial. Hence, the CPM has also decided to safeguard the governor’s decision. If the governor sends back the ordinance, there are thoughts to pass it as a bill in the legislative assembly.
Meanwhile, the CPM secretariat did not discuss about K T Jaleel’s criticism against Lokayukta, in today’s meeting.
