KOCHI: The High Court has postponed till Monday the verdict on the anticipatory bail application of the accused, including actor Dileep, in the case of hatching conspiracy to assassinate the investigating officers in the actress attack case. The verdict will be announced on Monday at 10.15 am.

Apart from Dileep, his brother Anoop, sister-in-law TN Suraj, cousin Appu and friends Baiju Chengamanadu and Sarath had also filed anticipatory bail petitions.

From the beginning of today's hearing, the prosecution has been trying to refute the strong arguments made by the respondent yesterday. The Director General of Prosecutions told the court that this is an extraordinary case and that not only the case before the court should be considered but also the history of the accused should be examined.

Strong evidence has been laid against the accused. Baiju Paulose has no role in the investigation of this case. Baiju Paulose has no previous acquaintance with Balachandra Kumar. Accused hired a person to rape a co-worker. The prosecution also alleged that the accused had committed an offense that is not even considered by the legislators.

The inquiry was announced by the ADGP on the basis of a letter received. The prosecution has no fear in the investigation of the case in which the actress was attacked. Defendant's allegation that the case is a failure will not stand. The prosecution said there is evidence of conspiracy. Balachandrakumar is a faithful witness. Therefore, it can be believed that there was a murder conspiracy and follow-up, said the Director General of Prosecutions.

Balachandrakumar shared with his wife everything he saw. According to the prosecution, Balachandra Kumar's said that his wife was afraid that Dileep would kill us all if these things went out. The prosecution said that the accused could be convicted based on Balachandra Kumar's statement alone. The DGP also argued in the court the orders of the Supreme Court as proof of this.

The prosecution has raised three other issues that have not yet been released. Dileep told Anoop that when deciding to kill someone, it should be done in a group. There is an audio clip of this. As they passed in front of the police club, Dileep said they should be set ablazed. He said that a lock has been set aside for AV George and B Sandhya. The prosecution told the court that there is an audio clip of it all. According to the prosecution, Saleem, a businessman who was a witness in the case, was offered Rs 50 lakh to turn hostile.

"The sudden change of phones is evidence of the planned move of the accused. We have more evidence and statements. The accused are not cooperating with the investigation", the prosecution said.

Dileep's lawyers told the court that the police had asked him to admit to the crimes. "He has fully cooperated with the investigation. The police's animosity towards Dileep is understandable. But why the DGP? The DGP should not be the voice of the police", defendant's counsel told the court.

The prosecution told the court that the case is the completion of a screenplay fabricated by Balachandra Kumar.

The court also asked the respondent to file a statement tomorrow morning if they have anything to say about the case.
