KOTTAYAM: Vava Suresh, who is undergoing treatment at Kottayam Medical College for cobra bite, has been showing improvement in his health. He was transferred from the intensive care unit to a room. Doctors said they had stopped giving antivenom because the snake venom that had entered the body had completely cleared up.
Suresh now has only the fatigue of lying on the ventilator. The medicine is given only to dry the wound caused by the snake bite. He has started eating normally and walked yesterday and this morning. The doctors decided to observe Vava Suresh for two more days.
Hospital Superintendent Dr TK Jayakumar said Suresh has fully recovered his memory and speech. They added that the muscles in the body have fully recovered their capacity.
Doctors hope that Vava Suresh will be discharged from the hospital within three days. Days ago, Suresh was bitten on the thigh by a snake while catching it from a house in Kottayam.
