THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Swapna Suresh’s new revelations have proved the allegations raised by the then opposition during the former government, said Ramesh Chennithala. ‘The ones who despised the allegations I made then, as the opposition leader, what do they have to say now’, asked Chennithala.

The people are undoubtedly convinced of the involvement of the then speaker Sreeramakrishnan in the case, he said. The opposition had then moved a no-confidence motion against the speaker. The opposition had alleged that the speaker had close relations with Swapna. Although Sreeramakrishnan denied it all, today it has been proven beyond doubt, he said.

We had also raised allegations against ministers. We are happy that it got proved today. All the facts raised by the then opposition have now been proved. A re-investigation should be conducted on this basis. The chief minister should suspend the senior official who had committed so many crimes, demanded Chennithala.

Sivashankar wrote the book without seeking permission. The very same government had taken action against a former DGP when he wrote his book ‘Sravukalkoppam Neenthumbol’. Then what reason is there to not suspend Sivashankar, he asked. The chief minister should respond to Swapna’s statements.

Sivashankar has written the book to help and protect the chief minister and others. Hence, the chief minister is obligated to protect him. That is why, no action is taken against him, alleged Chennithala.
