KOCHI: The survivor in the actress assault case has written a letter to the Chief Justice of India seeking an inquiry into the reports that the footage of the attack was leaked from the court. Copies of the letter have also been sent to the President, the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister and the Chief Justice of the High Court.

The actress was attacked on February 17, 2017 while returning to Kochi from Thrissur for a film shooting. The other day, a news channel reported that footage of the attack had been leaked from the court.

It is alleged that the footage was leaked during the transfer of the case from the Principal Sessions Court to the trial court. The forensic team had submitted a confidential report to the court on December 19, 2019 stating that there was a change in the footage. The news of the leak came in the wake of this report.
