KOCHI: A woman from Kochi snatched Rs 38 lakh from a young businessman of Malappuram. Kurumthottam Shijimol staying in MIR flat near Kakkanad NGO Quarters Palachuvad has been arrested by the police. She blackmailed the youth after capturing his nude photos. She invited him to her flat, then gave him soft drink laced with drugs and took photos. She had snatched a large amount from him many times.

The police said the businessman came to meet her at her flat in Kochi in September last year. After giving him soft drink mixed with drugs, she took his nude photos and later threatened him over the phone and snatched money. She called him two days ago demanding money and threatened to circulate the pics on social media. He then lodged a complaint with the police. Shijimol, who was arrested in the case, had earlier been jailed in the Varappuzha sex racket case. The police are also investigating whether she is involved in other similar cases.
