KOTTAYAM: Vava Suresh bitten by a snake and was undergoing treatment at Kottayam Medical College was given 65 bottles of antivenom during treatment. This is the first time the hospital is giving so much antivenin to a snake bite victim. Usually a maximum of 25 bottles are given for a cobra bite.

High dose of antivenom was given to Vava Suresh as his health condition did not improve. The venom of the snake had entered more into the body. Now his health has returned to normal. Antibiotics are given to heal the wounds on the part the snake bit him. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital tomorrow.

A cobra bit him at Kurichy in Kottayam on January 31. The snake bit him on his thigh while trying to catch the reptile. Suresh, who was admitted in the hospital in a serious condition was on ventilator for the past few days.
