KOCHI: Justice Gopinath of the Kerala High Court will deliver the verdict on the anticipatory bail application filed by six accused, including actor Dileep, in a conspiracy case at 10.30 am today. The other accused in the case are Dileep's brother Anoop, brother-in-law TN Suraj, relative Appu, friends Baiju Chengamanad and Sharath.

Dileep's lawyer argued in court that the officers conspired to trap Dileep and that the audio recordings produced by the prosecution were recorded using mimicry artists. Meanwhile, the prosecution asked the court to consider the nature and seriousness of the crime. According to the prosecution, the anticipatory bail application should be rejected and the accused should be questioned in custody.

The Crime Branch said that Dileep had animosity towards the investigating officer even before he was arrested in the actress assault case. This was made clear in the investigation that focused on the SMS received from Appu's phone. Investigators found that Appu had sent the number of Baiju Paulose's private vehicle to a phone number in Bangalore. Upon examining Appu's phone, it was found that the same SMS was sent to Dileep's phone as well. It is suspected that Appu has gone into hiding. The Crime Branch assesses that Dileep should also be questioned. The probe team did not receive this information when Dileep was called for questioning earlier.

The voice samples of Dileep, Anoop and Suraj will be collected tomorrow at Kakkanad Chithranjali Studio. The probe team has asked all three to appear before it at 11 am.
