KOCHI: The high court granting bail to actor Dileep in the murder conspiracy case, is the victory of justice over public consciousness, said Rahul Easwar through a Facebook live.

‘This is not just Dileep’s victory. Dileep being granted anticipatory bail is the victory of all those who wish to see the law prevail. This is the victory of justice over public consciousness.’

‘For so long a person was being hunted in the name of public consciousness. The police on one side, prosecution on the other, journalists on another side… We saw conspirators haunting Dileep from all sides. With today’s court verdict, many of their arguments were proven to be weak. This does not mean that Dileep has been proclaimed innocent, but it can be considered that he is one more step closer to being declared innocent by the court.

Dileep being granted anticipatory bail is a victory for you and me as well. That is because, if you or me, talk angrily to someone on phone, and if that two and half or three second audio clip is taken to court, then we will be put to jail for murder and conspiracy charges. This is unacceptable for any reason. Think about something, we are all with the actress. To be with the actress does not mean that we should somehow trap Dileep.
