THRISSUR: Sree Lekshmi, wife of air force junior warrant officer A Pradeep who died in Coonoor helicopter crash, has entered government service. Sree Lekshmi, an MCom holder, has been appointed in a clerical post in the taluk office in Thrissur. Minister K Rajan and district collector Haritha V Kumar were also present in the office.

The department of military welfare had released the work order last week and she received the appointment order and soon joined the office. The cabinet had decided to give a job to Pradeep’s wife, a week after the accident. The minister reached Puthoor in Thrissur and handed over the order to Sree Lekshmi. Usually, the government provides employment to dependents of soldiers who have died in war or similar situations, but gave special consideration to Coonoor accident.
