THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have obtained crucial CCTV footage in connection with the murder of a woman who was found dead in a plant nursery at Ambalamukku in Thiruvananthapuram. The investigation is focused on three persons who were seen walking from the nursery at Ambala Nagar to Ambalamukku after 11.30 am yesterday. Police suspect one of them is the murderer

Police have examined all CCTVs obtained from both sides of the road in Ambala Nagar. The police obtained the crucial information from the CCTV camera towards Ambalamukku. The CCTV footage showed three men walking through the road after the time the crime was committed. One of them was wearing a dhoti while the others were seen wearing pants. Sources said that police have obtained a clear indication about one of them.

The footage did not show anyone going to the Kuravankonam region. There were not many vehicles on the road due to Sunday restrictions. Police are also investigating calls to Vinitha's phone. Indications are that there were no suspicious calls on this phone. Some locals had seen Vinitha climbing on the terrace of the building in the morning to water the plants. According to the police, someone came to the nursery and killed Vinitha after getting into an argument with her. Police suspect that the murder was committed to seize Vinitha's jewellery.
