KOCHI: Although actor Dileep and other accused were granted anticipatory bail by the Kerala High Court, the Crime Branch is preparing to question Dileep again as part of the follow-up to the case. The probe team has raised suspicions regarding the SMS message found on the phone of the fifth accused Appu two days ago. The SMS was sent just ahead of Dileep's arrest in the actress assault case. According to the investigating officers, the SMS showed that Dileep had animosity towards the officers. This SMS had not been discovered while the actor was recently questioned.

Appu had sent the SMS to a phone in Bengaluru. This phone is currently switched off. The officers are trying to find out the person who used the phone, the purpose behind the message and how the same message was found in Dileep's phone. According to crime branch sources, a notice will be issued to Dileep soon.

The results of the scientific examination of six smartphones, including that of Dileep, which were made available to investigators by the High Court, will be available the next day. The Crime Branch hopes that this will provide information that could change the course of the case. An investigation has also been launched into the phone which Dileep and Anoop did not hand over.

Voice samples to be collected today

Voice samples of Dileep, brother Anoop and sister's husband Suraj will be collected at 11 am today at Kakkanad Chithranjali studio. They have been asked to appear for this. These samples will be compared with the audio recordings handed over by Balachandra Kumar. Dileep had alleged that the audio recordings produced by Balachandra Kumar were recorded using mimicry artists.
