THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CCTV footages suspected to be the accused in the murder of an employee of a plant nursery at Ambalamukku in Peroorkada has surfaced. Vineetha (38) of Vanda near Nedumangad was found murdered inside the shop Sunday morning.

The investigators got the visuals of a man seen on the side of the shop around 11 am Sunday and returning in 20 minutes. The witness testified that there was an injury on his hand when he returned.

Vineetha was lying lifeless on a narrow path on the left side of the nursery. She was seen outside by the neighbours till 11 am. Customers who came to the nursery to buy plants contacted the owner as no one could be found there.

On being instructed by the owner, another employee rushed to the shop only to find Vineetha lying dead. Police also suspect that someone who knows that she would come to water the plants on Sunday, is behind the incident. Her gold chain of four sovereigns is found stolen. An amount of Rs 25,000 obtained from selling the plants was in her handbag.
